About the role
We are seeking a Backend Engineer with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience to join our core product team on-site in Dhaka. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance backend microservices and enterprise applications for mission-critical client systems across healthcare, finance, and telecommunications.
Strong problem-solving ability is the core requirement for this position. While our primary tech stack relies on Go and Java (with Java experience being a strong preference), we prioritize algorithmic thinking, system logic, clean code architecture, and analytical debugging above language-specific syntax. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to break down complex enterprise requirements into scalable, resilient backend services.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, debug, and resolve performance bottlenecks, concurrency challenges, and complex system logic across backend applications.
- Design, build, and maintain clean, scalable backend microservices and RESTful/gRPC APIs using technologies like Go or Java.
- Translate intricate business requirements into modular, high-availability technical designs adhering to clean architecture.
- Implement efficient database queries, indexing, and data models to ensure low latency and continuous throughput.
- Write clean, maintainable code backed by comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure system reliability.
- Partner with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver feature updates and facilitate smooth deployments.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, and production troubleshooting sessions.
Requirements
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and algorithmic debugging skills.
- 2 to 5 years of professional hands-on experience in backend software development.
- Strong foundation in CS fundamentals, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) / modular design, and data structures.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go (Golang), Java, Node JS, and Python
- Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful or gRPC APIs.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization.
- Proficiency with Git workflows and collaborative code management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent technical communication skills and ability to work on-site in Dhaka.
